About Us
Showers of Mercy Ministries Internatonal is a vibrant Pentecostal community church located in Moortown, Leeds, West Yorkshire, distinguished by its strong focus on family and faith. The church is dedicated to fostering a Christian community grounded in the teachings of the Holy Spirit, which is reflected in all its services and activities. Known for its commitment to mission work internationally and spreading the gospel of Christ. Showers of Mercy provides a warm, family-oriented atmosphere led by our founding Father and Mother Apostle Watson and Pastor Memory Maravanyika together with Executive Pastors Oden and Pamela Makiwa.
Here at Showers of Mercy, we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives, restore hope, and bring about positive change in our community and beyond.
Our Mission
Our mission is to share the love of God with all the people whom God will connect with.
To empower the believers so that they can also impact the world with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. The mercies of God will be the driving force to extend His influence throughout the world by:
• Proclaiming Christ’s Gospel with the expectation that supernatural signs will follow as the normal New Testament pattern according to-
Mark 16:15-17; 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues.
• Planting Christ-centred churches that are autonomous, interdependent and self-propagating, according to-
Acts 14:21-21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
• Promoting Christ-glorifying Christian communities which outwork the miraculous and character transforming ministry of the Holy Spirit according to -
Acts 2:42-They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
• Producing Christ-following disciples who seek to obey the Great Commandment and Great Commission, according to—
Matthew 28:18-20, Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Our Vision
Our vision is to help expand the Kingdom of God through sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and witnessing the transformation of many people’s lives by the power of the Word of God.
It is our passion to see broken families and marriages being restored;
Wounded lives being healed and lost souls being found.
It is also our prayer and desire to see communities being impacted by the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit; Which enables to establish Bible- based contemporary local churches to promote spiritual gifts in individuals lives according to-,
Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
